Lynn Penner-Ash
Ever since Lynn Penner-Ash switched her college major from botany to enology, she's been hooked on wine. From her first winemaking job, working the graveyard shift of the sparkling wine crush at Domain Chandon, she's been fascinated by the ever-changing
demands of a winemaking season: crush, fermentation, aging, bottling and she's sampled and tasted her way to award-wining blends of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris and Rielsing. Yes, award-winning -- her 1992 Pinot Noir Reserve won a gold medal at the
San Francisco International Wine competition in August, 1994, and her eight-year career at Rex Hill has garnered her many medals, including a Humphrey Edwards Jones award for a world championship in London. She's also
a wife and the mother of two young kids -- how does she do it? Ask her yourself -- about winemaking, about what foods are best with particular wines, about whatever you please!
