It would be so easy to say that my favorite dessert is the one I'm having NOW, because I really do love most desserts. I've never turned down chocolate -- I had chocolate pudding for dessert tonight. I'm addicted to ice cream. And I can finish a batch of coconut cookies by myself. What is YOUR favorite dessert?

Profiteroles!

Jelly roll cake!

Chocolate mousse!

How's the new book coming along? When will we see it on the shelves?

DorieGreenspan:
The new book, which has a new title (it's now called Desserts by Pierre Herme) will be out October, 1998. I'm really excited about it, because the recipes are fabulous and the pictures are out of this world. They're really eye-popping.

PieFace:
I'm sorry to take the focus off of baking, but the old-fashioned photos in your Pancakes book are so funny and cute! Where did they come from?

DorieGreenspan:
The photos in the pancake book are from archives -- We searched and searched to find these great pancake pictures. My favorite is the women running and flipping pancakes. and the milkman is cute, too.

FrederickCooke:
What are some of your favorite restaurants? Just thought I'd sneak that in, since we're a restaurant site.

DorieGreenspan:
The Lenox Room -- I love the tuna tartare there. For special treats, Daniel. I love EVERYTHING there. And for French bistro food, Payard and Trois Jean.

FrederickCooke:
